Fri, March 21, 2008 - 12:59 AMi have mixed feelings about this one. the connection to the new age trips me up a bit. i have friends in the movie and they range from traditional native to new age (and a smoothe blend of both). as i reflect backward and project forward through time, i find thee is something amiss, maybe its just me, but i don't think so (i'll give myself more credit than that, as an observer).
these are trying times. i ask my father what he thinks, but i have feelings as well, me being more worldly in some sense may have advantages and disadvantages. my father will not look at any prophecies outside what he's been told, these are the instructions, cut and dry. to me, i don't know for sure, i am unsure and am iffy about projected works of nature. there is a lot of new age propaganda, but the hearts of the people i know involved has its integrity, a common thread of hope and balance. there is a particular air about it i don't like, i don't trust. i don't know what the lesson is there exactly, but it sure leaves me wondering. i look forward to seeing the film as i sort through the web.
as for the newsletter website you linked, thats super cheese! there are no secret codes of mary, shes wide open! though the gnostic teachings are something i have a fondness for, its probably what keeps all this suspenseful mystery in me. i let it go... and its free.

Fri, March 21, 2008 - 7:25 AMYeah I overdid it a little by posting the link to the new age newsletter. I was feeling duped by the 8000 drums thing. I was willing to drum until I got the idea that it was a publicity stunt to drum up DVD sales. I was already suspicious at the mention of Otemi prophecies. I'm a little tired of these public event specialists and their media marketing ventures.
They say in their stock market prospectus that subjects will carefully chosen for "authenticity." I think, in this case, authenticity is tied to higher profits which I find exploitive and creepy.
As usual, it's difficult to criticize this enterprise because it's being done for peace and love and earth and so on. Who can argue against that?

When I receive that request from an Elder and several others within my community that are known healers and 'gifted people' I don't assume it's phony. I do what I am asked, which was to pass it along and participate in the drumming, if possible. The original request came from 2 Huron Clan Mothers~we in the East take our Clan mothers VERY seriously. Beyond that....what's the harm in participating in a collective drumming for a higher good...as long as YOUR intentions are in the right place...prayer is prayer...DVD or otherwise?

Well, until maybe today .... just ONE main thrust.
And that's to run the whole world down into oblivion.
I don't like or trust the New Age thing at all ... many areas of tribe are thick with it.
All this hype about 2012 .......... What is happening today is what is important.
And today is a very sad world ..... Nanc ... you work in drug counselling
and rehab you can tell us ............. but we all know already.
We have to get to something real.
Something real that works.
I tried to sum up ~ as we all do whether we notice it or not ~
the whole 8,000 Drums thing, when I first.... actually more
like the third time I saw the info - which was here at this tribe.
It didn't feel good to me.... Mexico / 2012 / Hunbatz Men /
Dance / New Age / Films / DVDs ....... drugs
But it was the Native American participation which made me feel
that Spirit could speak through this drumming today / yesterday
You see the Native American involvement could have
changed the whole energy which was generated yesterday.
Sending out a new note.
Please remember your Native American roots.
Please ask for guidance from Spirit for what to do next.
OK ~~~~~~ Please ask what Spirit really needs now in the world. -

Could it be that the pain in our hearts caused by the hell we have created will spur us on into visions and creations of a world formed in love?
It is my prayer and dream, along with a multitude of others who have taught me to dream the Rainbow dream, that each and every one of you learn to dream both while awake and sleeping, the dream of unity and love through divine transformation.
